Something Cute AND a Great Deal, Too!

If you've visited my resource page, you know I LOVE Design Her Gals!  This awesome website lets you design yourself and your friends, then use the images to create personalized stationary and gift items.  Design Her Gals graciously gifted me with a print at home membership so I can show you how great their products are!

I am very proud to present my hot-off-the-press business cards!  I will be using these when I start dental hygiene school.  Since I have to find my own patients, I have to get the word out - and these cards are perfect for it.

Excuse the slips of paper on the card...that's for the sake of privacy.  I didn't want my school name displayed (although I'm very proud of it).

AND, as if showing off these adorable cards isn't enough, Design Her Gals is also offering a special deal right now...you can get your own print at home subscription for just $14.95!  What are you waiting for?  Check them out now!

Free Printable Calling Cards - These are Beautiful!

I have to admit, as much as I love technology, I'm really just an old fashioned girl.  I've been thinking lately that I need some kind of a mommy business card since I'm always handing out my phone number and email to my boys' friends' parents, people in my college classes, etc.  I've always loved the old-fashioned idea of a "calling card" with just your name on it. (I can't remember what books I read as a kid where they had those, but I loved the idea!)  While I was doing a search for free printables, I found an awesome site and the perfect cards for a mom!

I found the link on the website Living Locurto, which an awesome site with tons of adorable printables!  You can also link directly to the page for the calling cards here.  Just scroll down the page a little and you'll see the link to download the pdf.  These cards are darling!  I printed off a few with my name, number, and email to keep in my purse.  I love them!  Be sure to bookmark the page, because you can't save the pdf to your computer.

Friday's Fabulous Finds - Miche Bags

I posted this a while back, but Miche has come out with some awesome new products and I thought this was worth an update...

I discovered Miche bags from a friend and work and got mine almost a year ago. I am so in love with this purse! I love to switch purses around for a new look to match every outfit, but I hate the hassle of changing purses…which is why Miche is such a brilliant idea.

The concept is so simple but so amazing! The purse is a basic black or brown bag, but there are magnets on the outside lining - they use a special kind of magnet that will not effect your credit cards, debit cards, or cell phone. You can buy dozens of adorable magnetic shells for the purse, then whenever you want to change your purse, just pull off one shell and put on another. You can customize it further by changing out the handles. New shells and other products are being introduced all the time.

I have the original Miche, which works perfectly for me. My sister in law (and mother of five!) just bought the newest Miche, which is a larger, hobo-style bag. She loves it and says it's perfect for holding everything she needs for herself and her large family.

For a purse junkie like myself, this is a dream come true! I have 5 shells for mine now, and I already have several more picked out to buy. It is worth every penny you will spend on it, and it is very affordable. I don't see myself carrying anything but a Miche bag ever again. Check it out at http://www.4miche.com/

Oreo Cream Cheese Truffles

A few months ago, I signed up for free emails from Kraft, and I've gotten some awesome recipes from them!  I just tried this one last week - it's a little messy, but it's really easy and absolutely delicious!  My family loved it, and I'm planning to make a couple of batches for an upcoming bake sale auction fundraiser for our kids ministry.

You can click here to sign up for Kraft's emails - it's worth taking a few minutes to sign up!

1 pkg. (1 lb. 2 oz.) OREO Cookies, finely crushed, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

MIX 3 cups of the cookie crumbs and the cream cheese until well blended. Shape into 42 (1-inch) balls.

DIP balls in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover melted chocolate can be stored in tightly covered container at room temperature and saved for another use.) Sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Store any leftover truffles in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

Kraft Kitchens Tips
How to Easily Dip Truffles
To easily coat truffles with the melted chocolate, add truffles, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Then use two forks to roll truffles in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove the truffles with forks and allow excess chocolate to drip back into bowl before placing truffles on prepared baking sheet.

Special ExtraSprinkle truffles with colored sugar or sprinkles in addition to or in place of the cookie crumbs.

How to Soften Cream CheesePlace completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.nutritional information per serving

Home Depot Kids Workshops

A family in our church first told us about the kids workshops that Home Depot offers.  I wasn't sure what to expect at the first one we attended, but we had a blast!
Each child gets a Home Depot apron the first time they attend, and each time they complete a project, they get a pin to add to their apron.  The projects come in a kit with everything you need to build it, including full instructions.  You just head to one of the tables set up, where you'll find any tools you'll need, and get started.  My kids have made a calendar, wagon, trivet, planter box, bookends, and (my favorite) a fire station bank.  They are so proud of their projects!  Plus, if you get overrun with projects, they also make great gifts for grandparents!
At our local Home Depot, the workshops are held the first Saturday of every month, starting at 9:00 a.m.  You can find more information on the Home Depot website.

Thomas Nelson Book Review Program

Finding this program was like a dream come true to a book lover like me! It's so simple...agree to read each book you receive, then post a review on your blog and on a major book site such as amazon.com and you can receive free books! I've reviewed several books for Thomas Nelson...and the best part is, it's the publishing company for my favorite author, Ted Dekker, so I get free hardcover copies of all his new books. What an awesome hobby! You can find out more at Thomas Nelson Book Review Blggers.

Recipe Zaar

My absolute favorite recipe website is Recipe Zaar. I stumbled across it months ago, and I've gotten so many great recipes from it! My favorite feature is the fact that you can search by preparation method - slow cooker, OMAC, etc., but they have so many different search options. It's a lot of fun and so useful!

My Miche Bage

I just got my Miche bag last month and I am so in love with this purse! I first discovered it when a member of the gym where I work brought hers in. The concept is so simple but so amazing! You can buy dozens of adorable magnetic shells for the purse, then whenever you want to change your purse, just pull off one shell and put on another.
