Book Review: Same Kind of Different as Me

This is, hands down, one of the best books I have ever read.  Same Kind of Different as Me is a must read!

This amazing true story tells how God brought two very different people in the most unlikely way, how their relationship evolved to the deepest of friendships, and the woman who brought them together changed both their lives forever.  It's also the story of how God can bring us through the most painful circumstances with His limitless love.  I shed a lot of tears as I read this book, but by the end, I was in awe of how powerful love and friendship really are.

For everyone who grew up in the comfortable, middle-class lifestyle that many of us knew as children, this book will also open your eyes.  As one of the co-authors, Denver Moore, tells his story of poverty and homelessness, you will see a side of American life that you may not have known even existed.  It gave me a totally different perspective on poverty and homelessness.  I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

*In exchange for my review, I received a free copy of this book from BookSneeze.  All opinions expressed are solely my own.

I read this book last fall. You're so right! One of the best books I've ever read. (And I'm usually a fiction girl.)
